The author of 19 books, Deford is a Hall of Fame member of the National Association of Sportscasters and Sportswriters. His many honors include an Emmy, a George Foster Peabody Award, and a National Magazine Award. Deford's new book, Over Time traces the full sweep of American sportswriting alongside his legendary personal and professional history.
